TEN MAIN REASONS WHY YOU ARE NOT A LEADER
1. INABILITY TO ORGANIZE DETAILS
Leader
Effective leadership requires the ability to organize and work on details.
No true leader is ever so busy that he does not do something that is required and expected of him.
When a man, regardless of whether he is a leader or a follower, admits or says that he is too busy to change his plans or when he needs to attend to some emergency, he is actually admitting his inefficiency.
A successful leader should be the boss of all the details related to his job.
This means that he needs to develop the ability to possibly change the details that his followers might suggest.
2. THE ABILITY TO PERFORM THE WORK AT THE LEVEL
True leaders do not hesitate to do work that under normal circumstances should be done by one of their associates, when the situation calls for it.
The greatest among leaders are “servants of all”, this is a truth respected by all capable leaders.
3. THE EXPECTATION OF BEING PAID FOR WHAT THEY KNOW, INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY DO, USING THEIR KNOWLEDGE
No one in the world is paid for what they know!
He is paid for what he does or for how he influences others to do something.
4. FEAR OF COMPETING WITH SUBORDINATE
A leader who is afraid that one of his subordinates will take over his job is on the sure path to realizing that fear sooner or later.
A capable leader teaches subordinates and lets them slowly take over part of the work.
Only in this way can a leader be in several places and pay attention to several things at the same time.
A man is paid more only when he is able to employ others to do something.
An efficient leader can greatly increase the efficiency of others and intrigue them to work better and more than they would without his help, through the knowledge of that job and through the magnetism of his personality.
5. LACK OF IMAGINATION
Imagination is needed to create plans with which to effectively lead your associates.
6. SELFISHNESS
A leader who takes all the credit for the work done by his co-workers can be sure to be met with ignoring them.
A true leader will praise his co-workers, because he knows that most people prefer recognition to money.
7. LACK OF SELF-CONTROL
Co-workers do not respect a leader without self-control. This is a flaw that we are surrounded by everyday, and a leader is a person that should be followed.
No one has any reason to follow a person without self-control.
8. DISLOYALTY
A leader who is not loyal to his company, those below him and those above him in terms of status, cannot remain a leader for long.
Lack of loyalty is one of the main causes of mistakes and failures in all areas of life.
9. THE EFFORT TO MAKE THE LEADERSHIP STAND OUT AND TO INstill FEAR IN THE OTHER ASSOCIATES
An effective leader leads colleagues by encouraging them, not trying to scare them.
A leader who tries to impress subordinates with his authority falls into the category of leadership through force.
If a leader is truly a true leader, he does not need to advertise himself with his title, but with his sympathy, understanding, fair treatment and knowledge of his job.
10. COMMANDING INSTEAD OF DIRECTING
A commanding leader may work well in military or similar environments, but in everyday life people are not inclined to obey orders. Slowly but surely, in this way, colleagues will more and more avoid contacts with this type of leadership.
THESE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT CAUSES OF FAILURES IN LEADERSHIP!
ONLY ONE FLAW IS ENOUGH TO MISS!
